The Source of our Water
The source in Ballymena has one of the most famous areas of
outstanding natural beauty as its catchment area- the Antrim
Hills. Filtered by nature the water is extracted from a fissure
400ft below ground. Drilled to a total depth of 90m.
The bedrocks are plateau baslts many hundreds
of metres thick and part of the vast Antrim Lava Series which
is more than 60 million years old.
